We are here to help you to celebrate your special occasion. We can assist you to create an intimate gathering for your favourite movie, or the biggest, loudest party your address book can handle. We can do a surprise favourite film screening for the one you love, a kid’s birthday bash that’ll be the talk of the playground for years to come, or bring all of your pals together for a film night out to remember.

Business Meetings and Conferencing
With our city centre location and unique creative spaces, the Tyneside is an ideal venue for forward thinking companies to do business. We can support your product launch, training session, away-day, conference of business dinner in a truly vibrant and exciting environment. Our state of the art digital cinema projectors and 5.1 surround sound can present you and your ideas in a way that will make other powerpoint presentations look prehistoric.
Our meeting rooms
The Mike Figgis Studio, The Digital Lounge (capacity 30 each) and Northern Film and Media Headspace (capacity 10) are equipped with video projection, plasma screens, video conferencing and wifi. We can supply catering into all spaces and we have a technical team to ensure your event is as polished as you would wish.
Screening Rooms and Industry Facilities
All of our screens are available to hire to film and media companies for premieres, previews, screeners and rushes. Each has 2K DLP projection and 35mm film projection, digital sound and can present HDVCAM, DVCAM, BETA SP, DIGIBETA, VHS, DVD and 35mm.
Postproduction Facilities
There are two off-line edit suites for hire.
Find Headspace at the Tyneside
Northern Film and Media’s Headspace is our new creative meeting space – available for hire by the hour everyday from 9.00am-11.00pm and equipped with high speed broadband, video conferencing, DVD, plasma screen, phone lines and a big old blackboard so you can literally write your ideas on the wall if the mood takes you! Headspace can host up to ten people and can be laid out in boardroom format or with sofas and armchairs as you wish. It also has a carefully stocked fridge and selection of fine wines and beers. Catering can be provided on request.
Thanks to the support of NFM, Headspace is available for hire by film and media businesses, practitioners and other creative companies based in the North East for just £10.00 per hour.
