How to buy tickets

Online: Buy your cinema tickets online by following this link!

In person: You can buy tickets in person in advance at our Box Office on the ground floor, and at The Tyneside Bar on the third floor before screenings. Ticket sales are available between 10.00am-9.00pm Monday to Saturday and 11.00am-9.00pm Sunday.

Daytime (before 5.00pm): £5.75 full price / £4.75 concessions*
Evening (after 5.00pm): £6.70 full price / £5.75 concessions*

The Classic Cinema Circle

Reserved seating is available when you book in The Classic Circle – nab your favourite spot each time you come to see a movie!
Daytime (before 5.00pm): £8.80 full price / £7.80 concessions*
Evening (after 5.00pm): £9.80 full price / £8.80 concessions*

The Classic Cinema – wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access to The Classic screen is in the Circle only but you can buy Circle tickets at the standard ticket rate for that screening. If you need to be accompanied by a companion to assist you, they will be admitted for free.

Tyneside heritage tours and newsreel screenings

All Tyneside Cinema heritage tours and screenings of newsreel material are FREE.

Concession qualification

*Discounts apply to: those receiving income support; people in full-time education; young people aged 16 and under; senior citizens; disabled people; and City Card holders.

Special ticket offers

Monday Night is Student Night: Holders of an NUS card can buy tickets for just £4.90 for films every Monday after 5.00pm. Just show us your card when you buy your ticket. Please note that this ticket price does not include special events or seats in The Classic Circle.

Super Tuesdays: Tickets just £2.95 every Tuesday afternoon.
Every Tuesday tickets to screenings starting before 5.00pm in our cinemas are just £2.95 each and seats in The Classic Circle half price. Enjoy!

Silver Screen: £3.50
Bringing In Baby: Babies under 1 Free / Adults £5.75 price / £4.75 concessons*
Tyneside Childrens’ Film Club: £2.80 ages 16 or under / £3.80 ages over 16
School groups: £3.15 per student when groups of ten or more students are booked in advance. Teachers go free.

Become a Friend and Save ££££s on your cinema tickets each year
Friends of the Tyneside get 50p off each ticket (£1.00 in The Classic Circle).

Discounts for Job Seekers and those receiving Incapacity Benefit
If you’re the holder of an ES40, or receive Income Support or Incapacity Benefit, please show us proof and you can see movies at the Tyneside before 5.00pm on weekdays for just £2.95.

Film Classification

U film classification icon Universal. Suitable for everyone.

PG film classification icon General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for some children.

12A film classification icon No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult.

15 film classification icon No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 film in a cinema.

18 film classification icon No-one younger than 18 may see a 18 film in a cinema.

The small print
Ticket offers are subject to availability, only one discount is available on any ticket at any time, reservations must be paid for in advance at point of booking. A booking fee of £1.20 per transaction will be made for online purchases.
